At Sattvya, every product is thoughtfully sourced and many are handcrafted by skilled artisans across India. Unlike mass-produced products, handcrafted products require careful quality inspection, secure packaging and handling before dispatch.

This Shipping & Delivery Policy explains how we process, dispatch and deliver orders placed through our website.

By placing an order with Sattvya, you acknowledge and agree to the terms of this Shipping & Delivery Policy.

2. Shipping Coverage

Sattvya currently delivers to:

  • All serviceable locations within India.

  • Selected international destinations where courier, customs and import regulations permit shipment.

International shipping availability may vary based on the destination country, local import regulations, courier coverage and the nature of the products ordered.


3. Order Confirmation & Processing

Orders are processed only after successful payment confirmation, except where Cash on Delivery (COD) is expressly offered.

Before dispatch, every order undergoes:

  • Product quality inspection.

  • Packaging verification.

  • Inventory confirmation.

  • Secure packing for transit.

  • Dispatch documentation.

Because many of our products are handcrafted, artisan-made or packed with special care, processing times may vary depending upon product availability, order volume and production schedules.

Estimated processing timelines are:

Retail Orders

Orders are generally processed and prepared for dispatch within 3–5 business days.

Bulk, Corporate & Wholesale Orders

Bulk, corporate gifting and wholesale orders generally require 5–10 business days for production planning, inventory allocation, quality inspection, customised packaging (where applicable) and dispatch preparation.

Larger or customised orders may require additional time, which will be communicated at the time of order confirmation.


4. Estimated Delivery Timelines

The delivery timelines mentioned below are estimates only and should not be treated as guaranteed delivery commitments.

Actual delivery depends on courier operations, destination, weather conditions, transportation networks, public holidays, customs processes and other circumstances beyond Sattvya's reasonable control.

A. Domestic Orders (India)

After dispatch:

Retail Orders

Estimated delivery within 7–10 business days.

Bulk, Corporate & Wholesale Orders

Estimated delivery within 7–21 business days, depending upon:

  • order quantity;

  • destination;

  • packaging requirements;

  • logistics planning;

  • mode of transportation.

Deliveries to remote, rural, hilly, North-Eastern, island territories or other difficult-to-service locations may require additional transit time.


B. International Orders

International orders are generally delivered within 21–30 business days after dispatch.

Delivery timelines vary depending upon:

  • destination country;

  • customs clearance;

  • airline cargo schedules;

  • local courier operations;

  • import regulations;

  • government inspections;

  • seasonal demand.

Certain countries may require longer delivery periods depending upon customs procedures and local regulations.


5. Shipping Charges

Shipping charges are calculated based on:

  • delivery destination;

  • package weight;

  • package dimensions;

  • number of products ordered;

  • shipping method selected.

Applicable shipping charges, if any, will be displayed during checkout before payment.

Sattvya may offer free shipping on selected products or promotional campaigns at its sole discretion.

Such offers may be withdrawn or modified without prior notice.


6. Packaging Standards

We take great care in packaging every order.

Fragile products including:

  • Ceramic Planters

  • Lampshades

  • Candles

  • Glass Components

  • Decorative Products

  • Gift Boxes

are packed using protective materials and secure packaging techniques to minimise the risk of transit damage.

Despite careful packaging, damage caused during transportation may occasionally occur due to circumstances beyond our control.


7. Courier & Logistics Partners

Sattvya works with reputable logistics and courier partners for domestic and international deliveries.

The selection of the courier partner shall be at Sattvya's sole discretion based on destination, serviceability, delivery efficiency and operational requirements.


8. Shipment Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, shipment tracking details will be shared through email, SMS or WhatsApp, where available.

Tracking information may take up to 24 hours to become active on the courier's website.


9. Delivery Attempts

Courier partners generally make multiple delivery attempts.

If delivery cannot be completed because:

  • the customer is unavailable;

  • the shipping address is incorrect or incomplete;

  • the phone number is unreachable;

  • delivery is refused;

  • delivery instructions are unclear;

the shipment may be returned to Sattvya.

Any additional shipping or re-dispatch charges shall be borne by the customer.


10. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for ensuring that:

  • the shipping address is accurate and complete;

  • the recipient is available to receive the shipment;

  • valid contact details are provided;

  • delivery instructions, where required, are communicated in advance.

Sattvya shall not be responsible for delays or failed deliveries resulting from incorrect information provided by the customer.


11. Inspection Upon Delivery

Customers are advised to inspect the shipment immediately upon delivery.

If the outer package appears damaged, tampered with or opened, customers should:

  • photograph the package before opening;

  • retain all packaging materials;

  • record an unpacking video wherever possible;

  • notify Sattvya within 48 hours of delivery.

Claims raised after this period may not be eligible for consideration.


12. Transit Damage & Missing Items

If any product is received damaged or if any item is missing, customers must email us within 48 hours with:

  • Order Number.

  • Photographs of the shipping box.

  • Shipping label.

  • Damaged product.

  • Complete unpacking photographs or video, where available.

Sattvya reserves the right to verify all claims before approving a replacement, store credit or refund in accordance with our Return, Refund & Replacement Policy.


13. Partial Shipments

Where commercially necessary, Sattvya reserves the right to fulfil an order through multiple shipments.

Customers will not be charged additional shipping fees solely because an order is shipped in multiple consignments by Sattvya.


14. Bulk, Corporate & Wholesale Orders

Bulk, wholesale and corporate gifting orders may involve:

  • production scheduling;

  • customised branding or packaging;

  • phased manufacturing;

  • inventory procurement;

  • staggered dispatches.

Estimated timelines will be communicated individually based on the order size and project requirements.

Dispatch timelines commence only after:

  • confirmation of product specifications;

  • design approval (where applicable);

  • receipt of agreed advance payment;

  • confirmation of delivery schedule.

Customers are encouraged to place bulk orders well in advance of planned events or delivery deadlines.


15. International Shipping

International customers are responsible for ensuring that the products ordered are permitted for import into their destination country.

Sattvya is not responsible for restrictions imposed by customs authorities or local laws of the destination country.


16. Customs Duties & Import Charges

Unless expressly stated otherwise, international customers are solely responsible for:

  • customs duties;

  • import taxes;

  • VAT/GST or equivalent local taxes;

  • customs brokerage fees;

  • inspection charges;

  • storage charges;

  • other government-imposed levies.

These charges are determined by the destination country's customs authorities and are outside Sattvya's control.

Failure to pay such charges may result in delays, return of the shipment or disposal by customs authorities without liability on the part of Sattvya.


17. Delivery Delays

While Sattvya endeavours to dispatch and deliver all orders within the estimated timelines, delivery schedules are indicative only.

We shall not be liable for delays arising due to:

  • adverse weather conditions;

  • natural disasters;

  • transportation disruptions;

  • courier delays;

  • customs inspections;

  • strikes;

  • political disturbances;

  • pandemics;

  • government actions;

  • force majeure events;

  • any circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

Such delays shall not entitle the customer to cancel an order or claim compensation solely due to delayed delivery, except where required under applicable law.


18. Undeliverable Shipments

If a shipment is returned due to:

  • incorrect address;

  • customer unavailability;

  • refusal to accept delivery;

  • failure to pay customs duties;

  • repeated failed delivery attempts;

the customer may be responsible for return shipping charges, storage costs (if any) and re-shipping charges before the order can be dispatched again.


19. Lost Shipments

If a shipment is officially confirmed as lost by the courier partner before delivery, Sattvya will, after verification and subject to the courier's investigation:

  • arrange a replacement; or

  • issue a refund or store credit, at Sattvya's discretion.


20. Force Majeure

Sattvya shall not be responsible for delays or failure to perform its obligations where such failure results from events beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, floods, earthquakes, fire, war, civil unrest, pandemics, labour disputes, transportation failures, government restrictions, internet outages or supplier disruptions.


21. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Sattvya's liability arising from any shipping-related issue shall not exceed the purchase price of the affected product(s).

Sattvya shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, punitive or special damages, including loss of profits, business interruption or third-party claims arising from shipping delays or logistics-related issues.

Nothing in this policy excludes or limits any rights available to consumers under applicable law.


22. Policy Updates

Sattvya reserves the right to amend or update this Shipping & Delivery Policy at any time without prior notice.

The version published on the website on the date of purchase shall apply to the relevant order.
